The Bell Jar
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
"I felt very still and empty, the way the eye of a tornado must feel, moving dully along in the middle of the surrounding hullabaloo."
This is how I felt after finishing the book.
"The Bell Jar" is one of my favorite reads. I adore Sylvia Plath's writing, her thought process, and perspective. I don't think anyone can tackle sensitive topics like she does with such clarity and skill. "The Bell Jar" oozes raw emotions and metaphors. I love how she portrays the world from her unique viewpoint. This book is unbelievably relevant even today, despite being written many years ago. I read few reviews where people told how this book made them depressed, thought I can't say the same for me ( maybe cause I'm depressed already?
