When in doubt, trust Frieda McFadden.
I randomly chose it, and Frieda didn't disappoint me at all. From the characters to the plot, surprises kept coming, and I couldn't put it down until the last page. The plot was unexpectedly brilliant. The FMC was psychotic, naive and a freaking (I'll not spoil it, ya better read it)
. Plus, this book unexpectedly taught me more about turtles than I ever imagined
