Review: The Book Thief

The Book Thief The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

' Death is hilarious, and it comes in spectrum '

There are many ways this book could be described, but I found this the best.I mean, it's not every day you find yourself laughing with Death, right? But hey, in this book, Death's got jokes and it's on a whole spectrum of emotions. I kid you not, I was bawling my eyes out at 3 am, no other book has made me cry this much except from my Physics book. I cried an ocean.

This is the most beautifully written book I've ever read till now. Very engaging and page turning. The characters are l̶i̶k̶e̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ lovable! And the narrator? Unexpectedly great! Who though death had sense of humour? Anddd, it comes in colours. The skies. Everytime the colour of sky was mentioned in the book,a soul was lifted by death and even death had to call God in the time of despair .The theme however revolved around very little life,a small HEAVEN albeit the conditions of Nazi-Germany war. It was comforting to read,to see how even death was reluctant to meet her eyes, to see the how the world slowly grew and fell in front of Liesel.

Speaking of Liesel meminger, she's the heart of "The Book Thief," you know? Like, she's not just a character; she's your friend, your sister, someone you root for every step of the way. Her journey from a scared little girl to a wise and brave young woman, it's just so real, you feel like you're right there with her. And her love for words? Man, that's something special. It's like watching her discover a superpower she never knew she had. Plus, her relationships with Hans, Rudy, Max—each one adds another layer to her story, making you laugh, cry, and cheer along with her. So yeah, Liesel Meminger, she's the girl who stole not just books, but hearts too.

Hans hubberman, my fav, the legend ,he deserves the world!!from trading cigs for his daughter's book and comforting her at night to taking whips for a jew. This man embodies the very essence of human compassion with each sacrificial act.

I feel in love with almost every character in this book, with every
